One resorts to reading ridiculously nostalgic ebooks when one is yet again stuck in bed with a fever. One then realizes how dense one used to be in not having noticed how many black-haired-squinty-eyed-Indian comments there were in those good old Nancy Drew books. And how the Nancy-Ned, George-Burt, Bess-Dave lovey-dovey pairs just had to team up each time they went “investigating”.
Oh, and one’s download of the Eleventh Doctor’s Christmas Special just finished. So ta, Nancy.

biting into the good old nostalgia cookie yet again. i made this chummy photoshop project after dreaming of a kite-flying spree with my [former] best friend. there are days when i wish i could order instant amnesia on home tv shopping. today isn’t one of those days.

imagine my horror upon discovering that one of my favorite nursery rhymes back in our Playskool days in Thailand was about mutilating a bird. hey, i was three, and the words sounded nice. my, those French Canadians sing about the oddest things.
